Korey joined the development team at Chicago Opera Theater during the landmark 50th Anniversary Season in 2023/24! Originally from New Bedford, Massachusetts, Pimental got his start in arts administration as the Founding Executive Artistic Director of Glass Horse Project, now Reverie Theatre Group. Across the nonprofit and arts administration sphere, he has worked in operations management, development, communications and marketing, and education for almost a decade! He was named a 2024 Chicago Fellow with the American Fundraising Professionals.

Outside of administration, Korey maintains an active career as a theatre artist, including acting, directing, producing, teaching, coaching, and disability justice consulting. He holds an MFA in Acting from the storied Theatre School at DePaul University. Korey is also a published facilitator, having co-authored learning modules and courses on disability justice and its intersections.
